1. Will the program score as well as interpret the MMPI-2?
Answer: No. The program interprets only; it requires that you have already scored the test and have the t-scores available.
2. Are special test booklets and answer sheets required for use with the program?
Answer: No. The regular test booklets and answer sheets for the test, distributed by the test publisher should be used. These are not supplied by our company.
3. What MMPI-2 scales does the program utilize in its interpretations?
Answer: The program will always utilize (and therefore requires) t- scores from the three basic validity scales (L, F, & K) and the 10 clinical scales (Hs, D, Hy, Pd, Mf, Pa, Pt, Sc, Ma, & Si). In addition, if you have t-scores available for (1) the 3 new MMPI-2 validity scales (Fb, VRIN, & TRIN), (2) the 15 Content Scales (e.g., ANX, DEP, LSE), and/or (3) the 3 new substance abuse scales (Mac-R, AAP, & APS), the program will incorporate these scores into its interpretation.
4. Can I edit the interpretive report provided by the program?
Answer: Yes. The program saves the report, in a format that can be utilized by most word-processing software, in a directory on your hard drive. This is in addition to the copy of the report you can print each time you run the program.
5. What is the basis for the interpretations provided by the program?
Answer: The research and clinical literatures on the MMPI and MMPI-2 (referenced in the program's documentation), as well as the 70 years of clinical and research experience of the program's authors.
6. The program will automatically install to the computer on which I download the trial version. What if I want to install it on more than one computer?
Answer: You can purchase additional installations as "upgrades" on our website. The cost is $250 for each additional installation.
